Perfume: OH LOLA! Marc Jacobs, The Perfect valentine’s gift!

This is the perfect gift perfume as it is what I would describe as a daytime fragrance it is really light and floral with a slight undertone of spice. It’s so nice.

The packaging is fab with the bright pink bottle and wonderfully decedent cap, looks like a flower bomb.

I would consider this an all rounder in terms of age as it is so light it can be worn during the day for the older woman and used as an all day scent for the younger generation.

I think it would make the perfect Valentines gift as it really is an attention grabbing bottle very pretty and girly.

I know I would love one!

Wednesday January 23rd,Nail Care; Rimmel 60 seconds – 819 Green with envy

Loving this colour J it looks fabulous with a Tan and on both hand and toe Nails. It is the colour of Spring with all things Teal making an appearance.

Rimmel 60 seconds is a great polish never lets you down, it’s a 2 coat wonder for perfect looking nails, although One coat will look great if you’re in a rush and I have often been caught in a pickle with bare nails and 5 min before a taxi arrives a quick coat of 60 seconds and your ready to rock and roll.

I have quite a few shades of this polish as I love it so much.

Friday 20th January, Makeup; Catrice prime and fine Smoothing refiner

I came across this little beauty in my local pharmacy when looking for some concealer. I had run out of my normal Smashbox photofit primer and thought this little pot looked really cute.

The product is really good, it is a light pink, air whipped almost like mouse, which when applied gives a beautiful even base for your makeup. I have some fine lines around my eyes and some enlarged pores which it smoothed out really well. I was very surprised as it only cost around  €5 which compared to Smash boxes €37 is a real bargain.

It lasts all day and provides the perfect base for your makeup, This is an oil-free silicone-based primer . it’s worth a whirl as it is so inexpensive.

I would clean and dry your face before application then apply a little of the primer in circular motion only where required, no need for moisturiser as it provides the perfect base. Then you’re ready to apply your make up.

Tuesday 17th January,Hair Care; L’Oreal Elvive Full Restore 60 second saviour

This is hands down the best hair conditioner I have ever used and I have been on the Holy Grail search for the best one for a long time. I have long hair, past my shoulders which I have highlighted on a regular basis every 8-10 weeks, I also have naturally curly hair which I blow-dry straight two to three times a week. I put it through a lot! I have always wanted a conditioner that not only removed knots and helped keep my hair soft but actually improved the condition.

L’Oreal Elvive Full Restore 60 second saviour is a treatment that you can use once a week (I use it as my conditioner every time I wash my hair.) It contains pro Keratin and ceramide which cling to the hair shaft and cover it in a protective shield, it infuses onto the hair, but this really works you can feel the hair become smother and softer in your hands as you put the treatment in. I leave it on as long as possible then simple wash out. Your hair is transformed, you can brush or comb through with no breakage and after drying you will see a remarkable improvement in the condition of your hair.

It is priced just under 8 at €7.89 but did find it on special in Tecso at €4.49 and I bought about four. A tube would last me approx two to three weeks, you do not need to use a lot of this product the trick is to leave it in as long as possible and work it well into the hair.

The packaging is very in keeping with the L’Oreal Elvive brand it is quite simple, a silver foil tube with red and Gold design. The tube has a flip top cover which is very handy in the shower.

This Conditioner simply works, your hair will be softer, shiner and fully restored after using it! I love it!

Tuesday 10th January, makeup; Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua SPF15 B30

This is my perfect Foundation, after years of searching and believe me trying every type I could possible try, I finally settled on the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, It is both light weight and provides enough coverage to ensure a beautiful flawless finish without smothering the skin.

You must shake the bottle before application, the foundation is quite liquidly and at first you do not think it will provide enough coverage but its chemical formula ensures the foundation glides over the skin rather than sinking in. It gives a beautiful clear coverage and does not need much product to cover the face, I would use about a pea sized blob to cover my face and as my skin is not near as perfect as I would like this is a pretty small amount.

The packaging is in line with all the Chanel branding it is minimalistic yet elegant, the bottle appears small but contains the standard 30ml, it has a long thin pouring spout which ensures you only use the desired amount of product.

It comes in 9 shades across 3 groups Beige, Beige Rosy and Beige Ochre so if you are pale, yellow or dark skinned it will suit all complexions, I have a slightly high complexion that benefit from a yellow under base so I use B30, Beige sable.

It costs approx €37.57 but I would recommend buying it from a Chanel counter for your first purchase as you can ensure you get the correct colour for your complexion, it is available on the Garden.co.uk website, the link is below.

Tueday 20th December, Skincare; Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Daily all-in-one B.B. Cream

This cream is a one from the latest crazy of BB creams (blemish balms), I was eager to try it out as I have heard so many wonderful write up on it. The cream is very dense and at first looks like it would smoother the skin, but it goes on like a dream. It covers the skin lightly rather like a tinted moisturise, which I have never found give me enough coverage, I would always opt for a lighter foundation instead.

The BB cream covers the skin in a light dewy breathable sheen, it looks great very fresh. I would defiantly use this as a daily coverage, especially on a good skin day as it really lifts and lightens the face with a nice glow.

It is very reasonable priced at €14.99, I got mine in boots but I have seen it in Dunnes on special at €10.99, great price.

The packaging could be better, it’s very cheap looking, and could be mistaken for a cheap skin cream, on the positive side the Flip top tube is very handy.

It comes in 2 shades light and medium, I found the Light too fair for my complexion but the medium would suit most Irish skin types as the coverage is very light.

All in all I am converted, I love this product, it doesn’t feel like a foundation it really does improve the appearance of your skin. If it’s a light, Dewey even skin coverage you want this is the product for you.
